Woman stabs husband to death for infidelity

 

Acting like a possessed being, a 24-year old nursing mother, Mrs. Edith Okoji, went berserk last weekend and stabbed her husband to death during a domestic fight.

The sad incident threw the whole residents of Eze Street in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State into confusion and bewilderment as they were seen in groups discussing the matter.

It was gathered that the tragic incident happened as the couple who hail from Ahoda-East local government area of Rivers State got engaged in a serious fight that emanated from infidelity.

DailyPost has been informed that the accused woman has been arrested and detained by the police.

Confirming the unfortunate incident, the Ebonyi State Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Sylvester Igbo, told Newsman that the deceased, Mr. Oyenel Okoji, was an Assistant Superintendent of Immigration attached to Ebonyi State Headquarters of the agency.

The police boss, maintained that investigation so far indicates that the mother of three may have carried out the callous act on the ground that her dead husband was suspecting her of infidelity.

He also revealed that the accused, who doubles as a law student of National Open University, openly admitted that she stabbed her husband to death, but pointed accusing fingers on the devil for her heinous crime.
