20 killed as gunmen raze police station, prison in Adamawa

At least 20 persons have been killed and inmates set free as unknown gunmen
unleashed terror on Maiha, Adamawa state.

It was gathered that the attack which recorded many casualties took place in Maiha Local Government, a border town with the Republic Cameroun.

According to eyewitness the Divisional Police station, the prison, the district head office, custom area office, the presidential lodge, all located in the Local government headquarters were completely burnt down by the heavily armed men.

Sources said the gunmen invaded the town at about 3 am on Friday.
