Former National Assiociation of Nigerian Students NANS Secretary killed in car crash

 

Former National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Secretary General and Executive Director of Ola Oni Centre in Oshogbo, Osun State, Abiodun Kolawole, has died in a road accident.

Daily Post gathered that the renowned former student activist and his wife died instantly while his personal assistant was seriously injured as the 14-seater bus he was driving from Ifako Ekiti State reportedly hit a huge crater and then somersaulted.

Mr. Kolawole until his death was the research officer at the Center for Constitutionalism and Demilitarization, an NGO based in Lagos, Nigeria.

He played a major role in the formation of the United Action for Democracy, a coalition of human rights, labour, and pro-democracy groups committed to social justice, transparency, and good governance in Nigeria.

Kolawole was 45 years old.
