Zulaihatu’s death: Sambo visits Buhari

Nigeria’s Vice President, Namadi Sambo on Thursday led a Federal Government delegation to the residence of the former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

The call was to commiserate with the former Head of States over the death of his late daughter Hajiya Zulaihatu Buhari.

Sambo was accompanied by State Governor Patrick Yakowa, his Deputy, Alhaji Ramallan Yero as well as other top federal and state government officials.

The VP Sambo prayed that the Almighty Allah repose the soul of late Zulaihatu. He also beseeched Allah to grant the entire family, the deceased’s husband, Captain Junaidu Abdullahi, three children, Amira, Mohammad and a baby, the fortitude to bear the loss.

While responding, Buhari thanked the Vice President for the visit. He said he appreciated the sympathy of the government and wished the team safe journey to their destinations.

Hajiya Zulaihatu Buhari, 40, died Thursday November 29, 2012, after giving birth in a hospital.
