26-year-old nursing mother killed by unknown gunmen in Benue State

The Tyoor family of Taraku in Gwer Local Government Area of Benue State was thrown into another mourning as 26-year-old nursing mother, Sewuse Tyoor was murdered by unknown assassins while her one year old baby boy is also battling for survival after being inflicted with serious injuries by the attackers on Wednesday evening in their sleep.

DailyPost gathered that the deceased, Sewuse Tyoor’s husband was also murdered by unknown gunmen in like manner few months ago.

It was learnt that the woman had earlier identified four individuals as the murderers of her late husband, Chia Tyoor. The suspects who are officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have been scheduled to face trial later this month in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

Commenting, the Chairman of Gwer local government area, David Maor, described the incident as unfortunate.

He added that the remains of the mother has been deposited at the Local Government General Hospital while her son was receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of the NKST clinic in Taraku.
