Opposition merger plan: CPC announces committee

 

The Congress for Progressive Change ,CPC, has announced the composition of a committee to represent it at the ongoing merger talks by opposition parties.

National Publicity Secretary, Rotimi Fashakin, in a statement on Sunday said that a former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Garba Gad, will head the committee.

Other members include, Nassarawa State Governor Tanko Almakura, former Minister of Petroleum Resources Professor Tam David West, Nanono, Hadi Sirika, Okoi Obono Obla, Oscar Udoji, Ife Oyedele, Osita Ukechukwu and Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba.


Also in the committee are Lucy Ajayi, Bernard Banfa,and Engr. B. D. Lawan, Haruna Yerima, James Ocholi , Adebayo Shittu, Buba Bajoga and Osagie Ehanire.

The committee will be inaugurated on Wednesday, January 16, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Other parties involved in the merger plan are the Action Congress of Nigeria and the All Nigeria Peoples Party.
